Originally from the Puget Sound area of Washington State, I have lived in Utah since I married my wife in 1998. We have four very active boys and one girl that add the seasoning of our lives. I enjoy spending my free time with them.
I have worked as a therapist in a variety of settings since 2002. I have experience working with a wide spectrum of problems including those related to trauma (PTSD), depression, anxiety, marital issues, anger management, addictions, and parenting. For seven years I worked in a residential treatment program where clients were between the ages of 13 and 17, with presenting problems that ranged from Asperger’s Disorder to ADHD to Substance Use Disorders. After leaving residential treatment I joined with LifeSTAR of St George and began working with individuals and couples plagued by pornography and sexual compulsion/addiction.
In 2013 I pursued secondary training related to trauma and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) which is an often used treatment for Post-Traumatic Stress and other trauma based disorders. I currently specialize in the treatment of trauma along a broad spectrum from sexual abuse and assault, to childhood traumas, to betrayal and other relational trauma, to combat and first-responder service related traumas.
